We went to church this morning , our grandson Bruce, his wife Jill,and their baby Brandan,
went with us. We enjoyed the service. We came home, had lunch together, now guess we will just relax for the rest of the evening. I'm on the pc and my husband is watching tv.
It is still cold out, so not much to do out side, just stay in where it is warm.

Day after Christmas

Hello friends,
I hope everyone had a nice christmas. We had dinner at our oldest sons house, on christmas day.
everything was very good. We enjoyed ourselves very much. Early in the day, our son Paul and his son Erwin And Pauls lady friend came by to visit. Our grandaughter Lori and her husband, son, and their grandson came in from Ala. We all had a very nice visit. I pray you all had
a great time also. Now we will all be looking forward to the coming of the new year.

Hello my dear friends,
Well,it is cold again tonight. Hope this finds everyone staying warm and well!
We are doing ok , We had some of our family come for a visit with us today after church.
Our daughter Shelley and her husband Loyd , their son J.W., and their son Thomas, his wife Larissa, their daughterYanis, and little son Colton. Also,our youngest son David, his wife Minnie, and their oldest daughter Cheyenne. Their other daughter, and son were at home. Our son Larry and his friend were here too . And our daughter Debra, and her daughter , Rana
(our grandaughter) came up from Dallas. We all exchanged gifts, and just had a very good time !
Today was my Mom's birthday,but she has been gone to live with Jesus, for a very long time. I think of her often, and have such wonderful memories, of her and my Dad too.

Good morning dear friends, hope everyone is well. We are all o.k at our house!
Thank the Lord for our many blessings.

Not much news to tell here ,but it is cold today,guess we will stay inside a lot! Since we are giving photos for Christmas gifts to our children, and grandchildren this year there's not much wrapping of gifts to do. I have just been trying to put them in frames for everyone. I used to fix bags of fruit ,nuts, and candy, for all the kids, I still may do that! I know when I was a child I always looked forward to my Christmas stocking,filled with all those goodies. We always did that ,for our little ones too. Of course then ,we all figured Santa came and filled them (smile). Guess, today I'll start thinking about what to cook for Christmas dinner,for when the kids all stop by. Some of them fix dinner at their house for all their kids , but I'm sure they will come by later to eat some of Mom's cooking. Also,all the grandchildren, know that Granny and Grandad will be waiting for all those hugs. Tis the Season, so everyone, have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hello, dear friends,hope everyone is well, and staying warm.
It is cold here to day, nice sunshine, but the wind is cold.
It's 20 days until Christmas! I have done some decorations,
but still have not put my tree up,I think I'll put a small tree up
this year. We don't have a lot of space for our big one.
My husband and I, went to have our pictures made for Christmas,
To give for gifts, to our children, and grandchildren this year.
It had been awhile since we had studio photos made.
So we decided now would be a good time to have that done!
I think they will all like them. We wish you all a very Merry

~Saturday again~

Well,Thanksgiving has come and gone. We had a great day, big turkey dinner, and lots of goodies. Hope you all had a wonderful day, with friends, and loved ones. We all have so much to be thankful for. Now Christmas is on its way. I think I will start getting our Christmas decorations out to display. I love to do that, but don't think I'll over do it this year, because my knees have been hurting alot. I get shots in my knees about every three months,and my appointment isn't until Dec. 29th. I may go in before then., but I like to wait as long as I can.
I love comments from all you dear friends,sure makes me wish I could meet you in person sometime. I know I'm not to good on getting back to everyone with comments, on their blogs.

Hello my friends, Pray you all are having a wonderful day!
All is well at our house. Our daughter Debra, came down to visit with us untilafter Thanksgiving. We plan on going to visit at our other daughter Shelley's church tomorrow. The weather is cold today, so we are just staying in,either watching TV or on the PC. We are also thinking about looking around in the storage for our Christmas decorations. Lori went home from the hospital to day, they took the staples from her incision,
and no fever. she was so happy to be going home to her children, and grandchildren.
her husband, and sister were up there to bring her home.

Hello dear friends, I pray all is well at your house . We went to church this morning, and came back home. Our daughter, Shelley and her family came to visit. We had a good lunch. I had cooked some turnip greens, and purple hull peas also made corn bread. The kids enjoyed Chili Dogs!
We made a trip to Alabama last weekend, our granddaughter,Lori had to have surgery on Nov. the 10th. We thought she was doing OK so we came on home,but the next day she started running a fever. They decided she had a infection,and started treating her with antibiotics,which helped some,but the fever was still there so they wanted to go back for another surgery to find the problem. Our other granddaughter that is with her there , decided to transfer her to Mobile Ala., for a second opinion.
That is where she is now, and they are still treating her with strong antibiotics. We are all praying,and the church is also sending up prayers too, that she will get well soon so she can get back home with her children and grandchildren. PLEASE PRAY WITH US DEAR FRIENDS
that she will get well soon. That her infection will be gone, and she will get to go home soon.

It is almost here , and we have so much to be thankful for always.
We went on a trip to Alabama. our grandaughter Lori had surgery, she is doing ok, ,just be sore for awhile. We had a good trip. Another of our grandaughter and family , cooked us a big dinner , a early thanksgiving, very good , lots of good southern cooking. We enjoyed the trip, but Iwas glad to get back home . Hello dear friends.Well,today is our son Paul's birthday,he is our 3rd born. Hope he had a great day. Pray everything is going well with you all. We are having nice weather. We had to go pay bills today. I'm always glad to get that done, and behind us for another month.. I thank the Lord, just to be able to do that. Well,tomorrow it is time to go vote. Guess,we will try to get out to the polls, hoping not to have to stand in line to long. To tell you the truth, I'm really undecided about my vote this time,but if I'm able to get up there ,I'm sure I'll decide , It's really our patriotic duty, to do so! Well I went to the dr. to day , and all my tests, were A ok, good report on all.
Thank you dear Lord. Hope everyone is enjoying the nice cool weather.
It is just sweater weather here, so comfortable, but according to the weather forecast,
I think we will be getting some colder weather very soon.We are having a revival at our church,

Hello to everyone, Hope this finds everyone well. As for me,I'm feeling much better.
Praise the Lord! We are having some nice cool fall weather, and it feels so good.
Our grandson took my husband and I fishing today. We had a lot of good bites , lost a lot of bait and hooks too from brush ect, in the water. I guess when the hurricane came thru
a while back, a lot of limbs fell in the water . My grandson caught one cat fish,it was to small so we thru him back,but we all enjoyed the outing anyway. Really made me feel better , just getting out .

Well,we went to church this morning and three of our grandchildren came . We were so happy to see them there! We stopped byour sons house after church. He cooked hamburgers, and fries out on the grill. We stayed and enjoyed lunch with them. We have been having some nice weather, very good after, having hurricane Ike, blow thru here last week. We had a lot of damage with blown down trees, up rooted ect. in our front yard, and no electricity for about five days. But,even with all that,I feel very thankful that our house was OK and no one was hurt.I pray for those people on the coast line and all around there. They lost so much, but their lives were spared. I'm sure they must be very thankful, just to be alive. It was a powerful storm.

I guess because of the funeral , I've been so stressed. But, I'll move on and feel better soon I'm sure.

A SAD REUNION

We have had a sad day, our daughter -in-law Sherry, was buried to day .God rest her soul.
Our son Pauls wife. She has been sick for awhile.We loved her, and will miss her.
We got some wind and rain from the hurricane, but not as much , as we expected., Im so glad.

Hello dear friends, hope all is well,with you. We are all ok at our house.
The weather is some cooler, had a nice rain, and the grass is nice and green again.
Our grandson , his wife and baby moved in close by to us. Our other grandaughter Lori that has her house on our property, was vacant , so they moved in there .Lori and her family, have moved to Alabama. I miss them all, but especially the little great, great grandchildren.
Now God has blessed me with another of our sweet grandbabies, living close by to spend time with. His name is Brandon and he is 6 months old. Well take care , and God bless you all.

MON. Night 8-4-08

HI, DEAR FRIENDS,
Hope everyone is well. It has been another hot day. But we thank our dear Lord. for our AC ,
Keeps us cool in side. We are doing ok, staying in side alot. Our grandaughter that is visiting from Ark. had a seizure, Her dad called 911 and took her to the hospital. We stayed up there until about 200 am in the morning., and brought her home. She has been resting good to day, and back on her medication. She had forgotten to take it. I think she will be ok now. But it sure scared me . Her seizures are usually mild, Im told. but very scarey, as I didnt really know what to expect, or do for her, except keep her comfortable,, on her side,and console her. We just kept telling her we loved her, and prayed until help arrived. But thank God she is doing ok now.

Not quite, but on its way.
Hi there dear friends, hope this finds every one well.
We had a hurricane to blow in on the coast line , but we didn't feel much wind from it.
A few showers, that was really needed, and the air just a little bit cooler, but down on the coast it was quite furious I hear.We put our flea market things out for a few days , for a yard sale, but really didn't do good at all. It was so hot out , then too I guess everyone is like us, any extra money we need to save for gas. The weekend is almost here , have a good one, take care, stay cool and enjoy .

Hello dear friends, I pray it has been a nice weekend for you all. It has been a good one for us , as we had a lot of company, lots of family on Saturday. We sure enjoyed everyone coming but ,I was very tired after everyone left and went to bed early.
I missed going to church today, as we had to go to the hospital and pick our daughter in law up,to take her home. She has been there for a few days again, with her breathing problems. She was feeling better today. Thank you Lord for that!

"NEW RIDING LAWN MOWER"

Hello dear friends, Hope this finds all doing well. We are doing ok, and yes my hubby is enjoying his new lawn mower. Our son gave it to him for Father's Day. I know it will make his yard work much easier, as he has alot of grass to mow, and he has been doing it all with a push mower.
We have been having some hot weather, and I haven't been getting out to much in the heat.
We had a little rain to day, and it cooled things off some.Was reading my daughters post
(Shelley's Vintage Variety) about Kalyn's BD Pool Party. Sounds cool, wish Icould have been there (smile). I think I would like a big pool like that . Hello dear friends, I hope everyone had a nice weekend. We enjoyed the weekend.
Went to church Sunday morning,and then in the afternoon went to a birthday party for our grandson, and a friend. It was their 16th birthday and it was a real nice occasion. Everyone had fun and enjoyed themselves. We had pizza and the birthday cakes were delicious.
Today, we just stayed in most of the day, where it was cool. Was hot and humid out!
Later in the evening , my husband worked in the yard some. I went out to the garden, and picked a few tomatoes, some still green, as I like fried green tomatoes some time.
I also picked some peppers,a few jalapenos ,and some sweet peppers.
Guess,I'll go get ready for bed , its about that time.

Having nice sun shiney weather. Been doing some yard work. My husband was mowing the grass, he ran over something and broke the lawnmower blade, so that ends that until he gets it fixed. We picked some things from the garden, but I think the grass is out growing everything (smile). Well,tomorrow is our grandaughter, Kathy's birthday . Hello dear friends.I pray everyone is well. I am enjoying some beautiful weather.
All is well at our house! We went to church this morning. Then afterwards, went to eat at Lupe's in Jacksonville ,Tex. Stopped by Walmart to shop for a few things and came on home. I decided to get on the P.C., and my hubby is probably taking a nap., in front of the T.V.

My granddaughter , and her son moved to Garland Texas, So it is really quite around here, I'm already missing them. They have lived next door for a long time . Hello dear friends, Yep, rain for sure ,come again another day(smile),but the good Lord knows what is best , so we will be thankful . We did have the family get together in our yard on Sat. the day before Mothers Day,it was a big success! We sure enjoyed it so much,and took lots of pictures. Saturday evening , a lot of our family all got together at our house , and had a big fish fry. Our grandson Thomas had caught a lot of big fish. Shelley,Loyd, and all their family came over and brought the deep fryers and did alot of cooking. Some of our other sons and their wives and children came , lots of our grandchildren. Hello Dear friends,I'm slow about my posting again , but here I am!
My husband and I made a new flower bed, our son James and his wife Nelda had given us some plants, and we bought a few more marigolds, snapdragons,ect.

I also got a big patio tomato plant with tomatoes, already on it , and put it in the new flower bed ,should be looking good very soon.
I got some bluebonnet seeds to scatter around , hope they come up good this time . I love bluebonnets. Well,I pray everyone is well, and having a great week.

Hello dear friends. Yep,its Fri again. I Pray you all have a wonderful weekend.

I have had a good week .Our grandaughter, from Ark. came down to visit,and we have had some nice days together. Just talking and going through old photos. She wanted some copies of some of my grandparents photos, which is her great grandparents and photos of her and the other grandchildren when they were all small. Also of myself and grandaddy.

She has to leave tomorrow or Sunday morn. to go home.

We have certainly enjoyed our time together.

Well praise the Lord, we have had beautiful cool day, lots of sunshine, but cool.
Sat. we did go to the flea market in Nacogdoches, The weather was nice, and we really enjoyed ourselves. We had a few good sales. Our son Larry and his girlfriend, and her daughter went with us , The helped us set up tables , and unpack , and get everything out , then we just sit down and watch the customers, come by, or stop and shop, smile. I bought a few little things.
We were so tired when we got home, but we really enjoyed our time there.

YEP, we have had a lot of rain, but I think the sunshine is on the way . The weather ,forecast a nice weekend .We are planning a trip to the Nacogdoches flea market Fri. and Sat. so,we are looking forward to some nice sunshine.We will be sitting up some of our flea market items,so hope we have some good sales. We usually enjoy this because we meet a lot of people and visit with some of them and then sometime we like to shop around to see what we can find, that I think I can't do without ( smile). Not really, but there are really alot of things to look at .

Hello dear friends, Hope this finds you all doing fine. We did have some stormy weather this morning with lots of thunder, lightening, wind and rain, but I think it has all passed through now. My husband, and I went over to Arp yesterday to visit with our daughter Shelley , and granddaughters, Regina, and Jalyn, at Shelley and Regina's little shop, they have so many pretty things in there. I enjoyed looking at everything, and we enjoyed our visit very much.

Hello Dear friends, Yes , We have had some beautiful days. It seems warm weather is here for sure . Feels good ! I am feeling much better now. Still a little sore , but each day is better.

I'm so thankful to our dear Lord. We plan on spending Easter Sunday with our dear Shelley and her family at her church . We always enjoy visiting their church.

~QUITE A SCARE~

Hello Dear Friends, I'm thanking my dear Lord for sparing my life. I woke up Tues. morning with a terrible headache, flushed, and dizzy . I took my blood pressure and found that I had a very low blood pressure and my pulse was 30. My husband took me to the ER in Rusk. They started getting me ready to be air lifted to Tyler at Mother Francis hospital .
I had surgery and they put a pace maker and defibrillator in my chest. I came home today I'm feeling very well, except for the soreness in my incision .

I prayed a lot about this before when the doctor wanted me to do this,and I believe that's what God wanted me to do.

~A new month is on the way~

Hello Dear friends, well it is true. Feb is almost gone , and March will be making it's entrance soon. Today I went out , and pulled a few weeds from one of my flower beds . My husband and son brought me a wheelbarrow full of good soil , to go in some big pots, to plant my tomato seeds and sweet pepper seeds. So I can grow some plants, to transplant to the garden, later.

It won't be long until time for that. I'm not to good for long anymore in pulling weeds , from the flower beds. My back want hold up long, and I can't get down on my knees anymore. But, anyway I still like to try.

We had some stormy weather late this evening, but most of it passed northeast of here.
We had some thunder and lightening, and some rain , but it didnt last long.

Hello Dear Friends, I pray that you all had a wonderful day. I sure did! I went with my grandaughter, and some of the children to New Faith Church in Sacul Texas.

Had a good service, and a blessing for sure. My husband didn't go to day so he stayed home and when we got home he had put the big pot of home made soup, (that I made yesterday) , on to heat . So, thats what we had for lunch.

We sit out side this evening, and enjoyed the warm sunshine, it is so peaceful to do that to visit, and just watch the children run and play. I have been known to sit out in my swing in the yard along , sometime and sing , meditate, or talk to the Lord.

Thank you all dear friends, for the comments, I know I'm slow to respond sometime, but I do enjoy hearing from everyone.

~Sunday Night~

Hello friends, I pray everyone had a wonderful weekend. First I want say thank you to Karen for my nice awards ,and the valentine is so pretty. We went to church this morning .

Enjoyed the Sermon. Came home and fixed sloppy Joe sandwiches with chips, and chili beans. My husband and I, with our son and his girlfriend, watched the Nascar races the Daytona 500.

I watched awhile, but was up and down alot,with some of the little grandkids ( smile).

Hope you all have a nice week ahead. We had some rainy, stormy weather last night , but it was nice today.
I'm scared of storms,when I was a little girl . . I remember going to the cellar, alot cause my Mom was scared of storms too. We dont have one now ,but I sometime wish we did.

BUT WE TRUST IN THE LORD TO TAKE CARE OF US. HIS WILL BE DONE .

HEY, IS IT FRIDAY AGAIN?

Hello Dear friends, yep guess it is Fri. again. Hope ya'll had a nice Valentine Day , with lots of sweets for the sweet. I know I did, but guess I wouldn't need the candies everyday for sure (smile) ,but they are a welcome treat yum, yum.

Haven't made a post in awhile .

Hope everyone is well and everything is going great. We are doing ok! We made a trip to Dallas to visit with our daughter Debra, we enjoyed the visit.

I usually like to go to the thrift stores ect. when we are down there , but I missed it this time. Oh well, maybe next time. Guess I will make this short tonight.
